During an initial consultation a ‘Getting Started Welcome Letter’ is used as a working document with the client. Each area is discussed and a synopsis of the output is published. This ensures both parties understand the scope of works. Checkpoints are then held for progress updates and time lines are agreed.

Thank you for your interest in Knight Services. As an established web designer and recognised by the UK Web Design Association (UKWDA), I provide a personal web design, hosting and email service for businesses and individuals in the UK, Spain and France. These services provide an end to end solution for you, from purchase of a domain name to full project development and training.
Included in my developments is a content management system. This allows you to edit specific areas or pages simply and very quickly. This also gives you complete freedom as to when and what you change on your web site, giving you total convenience in keeping your content fresh and up to date. This CMS facility is secure and available via any internet connected PC using a standard browser like Internet Explore or Firefox.

My fee's are fixed, so there is no extra's or hidden charges:
- Annual domain registration: £10.00
- Web site Development starts from: £400.00 (based on 5 pages)
- Annual Hosting Fee: £100.00 (1st year is free)
- All costs are inclusive of VAT

The following services will be provided by Knight Services:
- Purchase of new domain name with key words
- Temporary holding page, for immediate internet presence
- Full unique design and artwork
- Initial content/text will be added and optimised for search engines
- Image enhancements and editing. Digital images provided by Client
- Simple Content Management System - to enable client to edit content
- Secure login - to allow access to admin area
- Visitor hits & stats tracker
- Search engine submission (Google, Yahoo etc.)
- Company logo (if required)
- Email facility
- Client training
:: What Do You Have To Do?
The following will be provided by the Client:
- Agree project brief with Knight Services
- Agree domain & e-mail names (forwarding or POP3)
- Primary text content to be included in the web site
(this will then be optimised for search engines)
- Digital photographs
- Company logos (if any)
- Product information
- Multimedia (in digital format e.g. video, MP3
:: What’s Next?
Well if we have agreed the scope, time scales and costs, then I kick-off the project. As each key element is completed or reaches a critical stage communications occurs to review, sign-off, or redo. This minimises the risk to the development time and provides you with ample opportunities to feedback or add creative input!
